Time Travel and Traveling in the Spirit
Time travel has been the subject of some of the most memorable movies in history. There’s just something about it that captivates our imagination. But is time travel really possible?
Not long ago, my wife had a dream where she and I were traveling in time to alter the outcomes of certain events. Until she had this dream, I’d not given much thought to time travel, but today it seems like a much more realistic possibility.
Albert Einstein observed that we don’t really understand what time is and how it functions. He once wrote:
“The distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.”
You might be wondering in what way are the past, present, and future are “illusions?” Let’s take a closer look at the concept we refer to as time.
The physical universe has the three spatial dimensions of length, width, and height, plus a fourth dimension of time. Time itself is a dimension or a component part of the physical universe. It is not a part of the spiritual one. (I will not discuss it in detail here as it may only cause more confusion, but one reliable source that I read has stated that the spiritual world does have a concept that is analogous to time, but that it functions differently.)
The spiritual universe is of a higher dimension than the physical universe. Any universe of a lower dimension has less ability to perceive the details of a universe of a higher dimension. The reverse is also true. A universe of higher dimension can perceive with greater clarity, a lower one.
When we view things in the physical universe from the spiritual one, we have greater access to the information contained by its dimensions, including the dimension of time. We can see the events that happen in the dimension of time at a glance. We could view all the events of our life (or the life of someone else) as if we were looking at them on a calendar. We could see the events of history that happened before we were born as if we were witnessing them firsthand.
Some might object to this idea because it almost seems as if it would make us omniscient and we know that only God is omniscient. Omniscience is having a complete knowledge of all the things contained in all the dimensions of all universes without the smallest detail being omitted from one’s awareness. In contrast, what we’re talking about with respect to seeing events in time is having a limited knowledge of the events in one dimension of one of the universes (the physical one) pertaining to one individual. That is a far cry from being omniscient.
Some may wonder what purpose God might have for time travel. Allow me to illustrate one (but not the only) purpose.
Imagine for a moment you were praying and the Holy Spirit showed you some of the atrocities that were done to Jews in prison camps during World War II. Now imagine as you continued praying, you were shown detailed information about the emotional trauma these people suffered. As you pray, you ask the Lord what He wants you to do with the information and you receive the impression that He wants you to pray for healing of emotional trauma for both the victims and their captors. Is it unreasonable to think that God might show you in eternity something He wants to have changed in the realm of time and ask you to pray that His will would be done?
We are only aware of and only affected by the dimension of time when we’re operating in the physical universe. Once we leave the physical universe, the dimension of time still exists, but it no longer has power over us. Time travel then is merely an issue of which universe we’re operating in. If we happen to be operating in the physical one, then time has its way with us. But when we’re operating in the spiritual one, time loses its control over us. When we travel in the spirit, whether in a dream, by translation, translocation, or in a trance, we’re operating outside the dimension of time.
Let me illustrate what it looks like to gain access to information that pertains to the future.
One night I had a dream where I saw the way God answered the prayers of my friends ten and even fifteen years in the future. How did I get access to this information? I simply entered the spiritual world and it became available to me.
And how exactly did I enter the spiritual world?
The “dream” that I had, came the night I spoke a portal into existence while laying on my bed in a hotel room. (I did this after the Holy Spirit suggested it to me.) But merely speaking the portal into existence wasn’t enough. I had to enter the spiritual world through it to receive the information God wanted me to have. So after the portal was created, I went through it into the spiritual world. That’s when I was able to perceive the way my friend’s prayers were answered in the future. (Please don’t think of this as a formula to be replicated. God may use something like this with you, but He could just as easily use one of a hundred different methods.)

Loving your thoughts and musings. I’m finding myself and many others are pondering these things and dialog opens more doors of possiblility. As I read this, it reminded me of a moment just before a serious car crash I was in. It is true one’s life can flash before your eyes, as this is what I experienced. I am wondering now if it isn’t something happening with our spirit, and if so, involving time, and what purpose does God have for it.
I’ve been trying to locate that resource of time and Heaven operations- can you send me the link etc please? Thx !

It really bears witness that he’s telling the truth; nothing seems off about it.
From these teachings, it’s like God created all of time at once and it exists all at the same time in the spiritual dimension, yet we were in Him waiting to be born into time at His discretion.
Certainly an honor and a nerve racking responsibility to be chosen by God for a mission like that.
Wow! Very interesting and ‘beyond’ the mind might limit. I read in a book by Leanne Payne several years ago where she was praying, and she ‘saw’ an Indian from the past, standing and staring at her. So time was bridged on both side. Leanne was well-known in healing prayer circles and ministered extensively to the homosexual community, and was very solid theologically. She has since gone to be with the Lord.
So many possibilities…

I have found that the more that my heart aligns to seek and be willing to confirm my thoughts, desires and passion to the heart of Father-God, intercession in my walk intensifies. Looking through my journal, i see that at times I am bearing witness to a past event, called to adjust a future event to the will of the Father.. or someone is bearing witness to what Father is or wants to do in me.

I have been studying and observing these types of spiritual encounters for a couple years now. I read a lot of comments in response to articles similar to this one. I have noticed that there seem to be a few who experience these deeper spiritual amazing exploits and many who wish they could, but never are able to attain them. I sincerely wonder if these type of experiences are available to all believers.
Yes – very good. John Paul Jackson’s experience was quite amazing. Went back 3,000 years and met king David, then afterward saw the description of him in psalm 151 and it matched.
Seems to be an error here. There is no Psalms 151. ?
I have shared this before but I most certainly believe now in traveling through time. As I have traveled backwards to Jesus’ day and walked with He and His Disciples along the shores of the Sea of Galillee. I had told Him,I am walking with You in Your day ,closed my eyes. Then before me I saw 2 lines of men(I figured them to be the Apostles) and Jesus walking up the middle straight towards me. Then when the Apostles were going up to the Temple on a Feast Day, I told Him I wasn’t going with them,I’m staying here with You.. I asked Him where are we sitting?On a rock?On the ground? Suddenly I saw the landscape before me. There were green trees on both sides of this path,green shrubbery,a beautiful vista!!!
Suggest you read Michael Saia book” Does God know the future”.. Will over turn many thoughts on supposed christian thought about this subject. Open theism..
I actually was invited to work on the time travel equations so I am not to impressed since this has become human knowledge
But I personally know a man during prayer taken into a 6 month experience backwards in time to share the gospel in the gulag then brought back to his prayer with hardly any elaped tjme
I just read this on 7-3-17 after journaling some things I heard in the night. One of the things I’d written down was when I awoke at 2:25 a.m. hearing “we’re in France together”. I knew it was referring to Joel chapter 2 verse 25. I’d read it yesterday and as Holy Spirit often does, He’ll weigh in on my ponderings later in the night. This morning, I stumbled on an article titled “The Disappeared: The life and death of Seamus Ruddy; Decades after he was killed by Irish Republican paramilitaries, Seamus Ruddy’s remains were found in a French forest.” This man was one of 16 buried in a Forest surrounding Rouen, in Normandy France. As I read the article I started seeing a pattern of injustice and restoration that dated back to Joan of Arc who was martyred in Rouen centuries prior. I was actually in Rouen in May of 2005 and took communion in the square where she was martyred. I’d gone there on a 6 city tour and was given Isaiah 48:20 to declare in very strategic places throughout those cities. The heart of the Lord was and is LIBERATION in its fullest form for Europe and France is key to that. Anyway, today’s journal entry and article re: those buried in the forest; those who were at heart Liberators whether right or wrong in their ideologies, just as Joan of Arc was a Liberator, revealed timing in His heart that He’s still pursuing liberation and restoration (which I believe involves the EU) and timely since I was just reconnected last week with 6 particular angels I was introduced to in 2007, two are called Breakthrough and Restoration. Reading your article this morning brought clarity to pray through the cycle if items I’d listed and brought insight to praying for the emotional trauma of those involved and I also saw how that trauma resides in the land itself and that in itself needs healing as well.
