Q, Social Media, and the Valley of Decision
The decision by the media a few weeks ago to put Qanon in the spotlight has caused a change in the way people address Q on social media. Fearing for their reputations, most elected officials have decided to denounce Q publicly. Some who aspire to be elected to public office have embraced Q, knowing it may earn them the support of patriots, but also knowing the media will attack them for it.
Most candidates aim to highlight the good their ideas would be for the community. You know, like improving schools or expanding healthcare access.
That’s not the case with QAnon-obsessed Marjorie Taylor Greene. https://t.co/ea41DtGMIt

The media’s false narrative that Q is a violent movement has been used by Facebook to justify the removal of thousands of users, pages, and groups. For some, the cost of discussing Q on social media has come at a high price. His posts about Q on Twitter cost Texas Assistant Attorney General, Nick Moutos, his job.

Many of my friends on Twitter have large followings. Conservative influencers tend to have a lot of followers who support Q. Some realize that if they attack Q, they risk alienating their followers. Knowing this, many have chosen not to weigh in on Q publicly. Others have admitted they don’t follow Q, but they’ve refrained from attacking the movement. They understand that we’re on the same side. They know that being friendly to the Q community will increase their visibility. There is little to gain and much to lose by expressing hostility toward Q.
That fact became evident when The Epoch Times published a hit piece on Q last month and posted a link to it on their Twitter account. It wasn’t long before their tweet had collected dozens of negative comments, some from subscribers who said they were canceling their subscriptions. Someone at The Epoch Times was paying attention that morning, saw the push back, and deleted the tweet.
That was not the case with John Solomon, who published a similar article and tweet later that day.
House lawmakers draft bipartisan resolution condemning QAnon and its ‘conspiracy theories’ | Just The News
— John Solomon (@jsolomonReports) August 26, 2020
The above tweet was not published directly to Twitter but from the social media app Hootsuite. Whoever was in charge of Solomon’s account that day seems to have sent the tweet without checking to see how it was being received on Twitter. The rest of the day, his account was bombarded with negative comments from Q followers who would normally be supportive of him but had suddenly turned against him. While this event was worthy of an article, the reporter Solomon hired to write it chose to regurgitate the same talking points the mainstream media had been printing for two years. The article read like every other MSM hit piece, and anons were having none of it.
These interactions illustrate a conundrum for conservatives on social media. Since the press put Q in the spotlight, anyone with a large following faces the difficult task of deciding how (or whether) to publicly express their view of Qanon.
I don’t claim to speak for the movement, but I can provide a few insights that are shared by some Q followers. We have a common bond of unity that transcends race, gender, religion, economic status, and nationality. Unlike cults and activist groups, we do not endorse group-think. We value freedom of thought. Black Lives Matter wants everyone to embrace their ideology; Q followers want everyone to think for themselves.
We do not expect conservatives to support our view of Q. All we ask if you don’t share our view is that you leave us alone. Personally, if you happen to provide unique insights on social media that are helpful to my followers, I’ll share them. But if you join the mainstream media and attack us, you can expect us to respond with memes and negative comments on your social media posts. If you regularly attack Q, you’ll be praised by the media, but you’ll be unfollowed by anons. (This isn’t a threat. It’s an assessment of a current social media phenomenon.)
If you’re still on the fence about Q, check out the latest pics of General Flynn. It seems the former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency doesn’t know he’s following a violent, baseless, delusional conspiracy theory.

Qanon Strategic and Tactical Update – August 25, 2020
MSM is in a panic if they are calling Q terrorists. The ones I’ve come across are digging for facts/truth – they look/act more like geeks and/or grandparents.
…. I guess that if I lied as much as MSM does, I’d view that are bad as an actually terrorist, who tries to physically hurt others and damage property.
For certain they don’t like facts/truth – particularly about masks, meds and the Chinese flu….My main acct. has been suspended from Twitter for a month because I kept pointing out actual studies. facts from front line doctors and sheer hypocrisy.
Many Anons like me started very cautiously reading q posts and withholding judgment. I began reading r threads because it was the most concise and even handed commentary I could find. Thank u for r efforts and personal sacrifices to provide honest and insightful commentary. It is exa tly why u r now one the receiving end of the technocrats smear campaign. STAY STRONG.
The elephant in the room for me when the sudden attention to Q blasted on to the scene was……everyone questioning Q is admitting that they personally don’t know just who or what Q is. Yet, while admitting they know nothing (still asking others to explain it to them) they make certain that anyone who might be searching for the background will see THE label of “conspiracy”.
Why doesn’t anyone turn the question back on to the media patrol and ask THEM who Q is, specifically? They will obviously have no facts…..at least any they will reveal since any facts demo that it’s a movement of love for America. Then ask them why then they label it negatively and any followers who DO know just who and what they are backing in the same disparaging way.
yes, i thought of that as well! It seems like a good idea (in theory!)
Patriots will be bypassing and hence defunding MSM. Looking at the mocking bird media will turn folks to pillars of salt.
Devilish antics once again by the lying left > it will not end but Q’s efforts must be increased. What can be done to send it back to them, to give the left a dose of their own medicine? This requires careful meditation, wisdom and understanding as ‘that’ side has no moral engagement and was it Machievelli who proposed the end justifies the means? Their puppet master is el diablo itself with their general soros. I pray the “investigation”, which I think is underway regarding money sources of the anarchy, will generate solid indictments, I hope. PM, any commentary on the list of folks arrested for pedophilia?
Yeshua sustain your Liberty and increase your influence …
I have been following you and Q for over a year now..love it! Disgusted with how the media has portrayed the movement..but then what the heck they do that with Christians as well..so from my home in liberal swamp Canada I stand with you and pray for you as a Christian and Patriot for both countries..Qanon is my worth source of info and glad that I found out about it..agreed don’t believe everything that is said but been around long enough to know who I can trust for reliable news..thanks to you Praying Medic and a few others.
I’ve changed my We Are Q background pic and taken all Q hashtags off my account. If twitter doesn’t want it. I won’t use it on twitter. That doesn’t mean I don’t follow Q
Very much appreciate and agree with your sentiments and the way in which you deliver.
Thank you so DH/PM.
I worked with mentally ill teenagers for 43 years. One of the skills that was necessary to deal with them was a verbal skill I called “reversal of responsibility” almost like verbal fencing. The President did it very well when he asked if saving the world from satanic pedophiles was supposed to be a bad thing. When others mischaracterize the Qanon movement, instead of being in a defensive posture , we Patriots need to take the offensive, challenging them on whether they support human trafficking, corruption and occult and evil practices, as well as the lack of moral values portrayed by the popular culture. Challenge them on the massive numbers of people being arrested for child porn-“ Are you stupid enough to believe that these perverts do not act on their sick urges?” Do not be afraid to take the battle to the enemy. Be strong. God wins.
It is important to support the “little guys” who defend Q but need more information. I became embroiled in a controversy over this article attacking Q: https://www.jns.org/the-fight-against-anti-semitism-faces-a-new-enemy-qanon/?fbclid=IwAR0q2IMYby1B8UROUOrVcrEEVLJHVVz0eF7AeArECtcJOw0MOD1L9lki-6I
The president of Zionist Organization of America, Mort Klein, added to the flame against Q and I criticized him as a “useful idiot”. Following up, I tried to defend Q, but really needed help answering claims of antisemitism. You are very busy, but there are those in the Q community who could help write “position papers” on topics most often used as the basis of Q bashing: violence, antisemitism, etc. These could be used by supporters to answer criticisms we see in our own sphere of contacts.
Here was my response on the Real Jewish Conservatives Facebook page:
Dave GoodmanAuthor to Rhonda J Hodas Hack: Just because there are some racists and anti-Semites in the US that does not mean the US is systemically racist or anti-Semitic. Likewise is the case with the Q movement. I don’t know who WarNurse is, but this is not an official Q site. The only real source of Q posts (called drops) is on qanon.pub and a few other sites that post the drops. There are 4634 Q drops as of Sept 2, the first being Oct 28, 2017. One can visit qanon.pub and save the entire page (takes a bit of time), then use your browser search to search all the posts. Post 187 is critical of Rothchild (misspelled) but does NOT refer to them as Jews. There are NO references to Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
Find an actual Q post that is anti-Semitic and provide its number. Remember Q is a major supporter of Trump, and consider the motivation of MSM in trying to shut it down.
Search for Praying Medic, who interprets Q drops and who, IMHO, is an excellent source of Q information.”
Hi Dave Goodman, Your post reminded me that, first, we must be led of the Holy Spirit in our responses. He knows the multi-dimensional background of every one-viewable-dimension internet post. Learning to hear direction is a process that is cultivated over time. • At my stage of this journey, I have learned that we all project from our past experiences. People who get me radically wrong taught me this—persons we have met only online will fill in our blank spots based on their own experiences. As I became more sensitive to the Spirit’s leading, I found that the Holy Spirit ‘discriminates’ a lot. Not all points/things need defending, and when we are asked to make a defense, (this is key) almost always, with rare exceptions, the Tiny Rudder response is better than the Broadside Artillery approach.
What YOU DID was to send my mind into the artillery depot and cause it to start listing all the manipulative, cheat-sheet, robotic. industrialized reasons that having “position papers” written “to use for defending Q” would be a bad idea.
But instead I am going to use the Rudder Response and ask you, “Why you would want a second-hand source?”
Because reliable second-hand, well reasoned opinions would give people like me options to the Broadside Artillery approach. I believe my only Broadside was my use of the term “useful idiot” to describe Mort Klein. How was it a broadside to encourage people to download and study the posts on qanon.pub and try to find evidence of incitement to violence or antisemitism in them?
When you get to close to the truth, their only weapon is slander. This isn’t new, it was done with the Tea Party Movement as well. They were labeled Domestic Terrorist and Obama unleashed the Federal Government on them. As you have seen, the Tea Party is still around. Hang tough!!
I have been following you for a little more than a year and I always felt that the reason Q had so many followers and was successful was because Q worked behind the scenes. Reaching out and red pilling without shining a bright light on the movement. A place to go for clarity on important matters and suggestions and ideas to research and ponder over. People could read and decipher for themselves what is going on without relying on the MSM. In the past few months, it seems that the movement has become more vocal and has stepped out into the limelight which automatically threatens any ideology that the Left and Deep State have. A rabid dog will attack even the person who feeds them. Q has threatened them and their ever increasing fist hold of control. My worry is that now, the light of doubt HAS been cast and people will turn away and chalk it up as a crazy conspiracy. We have become visible but I do not think for the good. I feel Q did better to work behind the scenes, quietly, there was no need to shout to the world who or what Q was. The thing we forget it just who controls the social media sites and the MSM. You can not red pill people when you are banned from the very people who need it. I always felt the Q movement was like the silent majority. You do not know they are there so they have that power to do the unexpected. To influence and to turn the tide.
Right now, the marxist left are in a frenzy as they watch their plans go down the drain and ANY thing that comes between them and their goal will be attacked. Whether that be people, movements, words, etc. Including Q. Fear causes irrational thinking but again, they control the narrative. Many people loose the chance to find out what Q is about because it was forced out into the open. People are forced to take a stand and that looses the effectiveness of the “silent” red pilling needed. I do not see anything changing any time soon. The cat is out of the bag so to speak. I fear it has lost its effectiveness. I hope I am wrong.
Good comment I think. However, as we continue, maybe the media attention will bring the new curious who would not have existed otherwise. Who knows, maybe even some media folks will be red pilled. Good does overcome evil. God bless all,
Movement ? What movement ?? Where are We G0ING ??? (AND, I’ve yet to see “the plan” ). : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFckPkukF7g
You are right. I have noticed this, and now see people posting citations to articles that insinuate QAnon to is a violent, dangerous movement. I have no problem coming up against that and declaring it prima facie evidence that the writer does not know what he is talking about…because if there was anything to it, he should be able to quote Q to that effect, and give the post number. He obviously can’t, which means he is spreading rumor or fancy. Anyone can see for themselves!—then I provide the qanon.pub address. So far, no one has come back to meet this challenge. If anyone comes back with “So, how do you know so much?”, I respond by saying I have been reading Q drops for about a year and a half, and therefore know a Hell of a lot more about Q than anyone spouting this nonsense.
Be bold and be absolute. This is a war between truth and lies—between God and Satan. There is no point in being a shrinking violet. If you are on God’s side, He will certainly be on your side.
I dumped Epoch & Soloman…I was cautious about Q at first. The more I read and researched, the more I supported them.
It is sad to see people making negative comments about Q and the QAnons. I just ignore them and use “Cue” “17” and the 17th letter of the alphabet. I also do ” reversal of responsibility” with people who post negative comments. Thanks GOMF3602 for the name of that technique.Use it much, yet did not know it had a name. I ask how is where we go 1 we go all & research and think for self a conspiracy theory, fascist or racist. The latest I saw was hive mind of conservatives & QAnons. That immediately told me he was of adolescent mind set of either/or. So I did the same reverse responsibility thing with them on a youtube account. Many did not know who Q was, not a person but a 9 person team from internal affairs in the defense dept. I seem to have received many good comments from the “reverse responsibility” approach. Also good to use when someone attacks the whole movement when they find one example of someone who seems to be in a “red neck” mind set. How does one limited thinking person define a whole lot of people who promote WWG1WGA. I understand that many people draw conclusions or make conjectures without facts & that hurts the movement. My experience is much better to ask questions rather than make statements. So far not been banned, but I post spiritual and make sure my stream has a mixture of that in it. I have many hard left people following me & they retweet the spiritual tweets. Frankly I have opened the eyes of many & they are now tweeting pro Trump tweets. Not sure if it was my tweets or just all the in our face chaos that opened their eyes. That does not matter actually, just that they have opened eyes. Sure do miss Dilley on twitter. Utuber sure does mess with his feed. I have a clouthub account now, but cannot comment yet.
PM, you & Denise are appreciated more than you’ll ever know. These are my thoughts:
I reason w/in myself: If ANYONE is on the Q-fence & has watched the video of Gen Flynn/his fam taking the oath; his speech about “digital soldiers,” & other, very obvious Q-related references regarding him, why would, how could anyone negate the validity of Q, but believe Gen Flynn?!
Secondly, & IMO, if you go back & reread the first 20 original drops, there are very obvious signs of who Q consists of… 4 10 20
I have read your book the calm before the storm I read it in December and saw everything clearly was able to understand and I am Q I watch the X22 report daily and promote your book and X 22 it is clear to me now! I am Q. Truth can be painful
Thank you for bringing hope to all of us!
Have you seen this?
EXCLUSIVE: Democrats Are Now Using Pentagon Funded Artificial Intelligence to Combat Online Efforts by Trump Supporters to Promote President Trump
I’ve followed Q for quite some time and I support his/her efforts. However, I’m bothered immensely by the lack of action by our President. We’ve waited for Durham for a long time and finally with great fanfare a plea bargain is announced. That’s great until you find out the punishment for the plea bargain is laughable and the perp is a very minor figure. This was what, a month or more ago? Since then NOTHING. The election draws near. The democrats are openly calling for a coup yet nothing seems to be done to stop any of this. 48 out of 50 of our largest cities are experiencing regular riots some nightly, but few are arrested and those seem to be released almost immediately with charges dropped. With the election less than two months away my concern is through the roof. Yours?
I agree! It’s very frustrating to hear all that could be and none has come true.
Thank you Dave for all your hard work and interpretations of the Q drops. I discovered you and Q about 2 & 1/2 years ago. I bought your Q chronicles book. It’s nice to get some insight on the drops as they are rather vague and coded. I believe those attacking Q and the movement have absolutely no information or comprehension of the movement. I heard a very encouraging message from Mark Taylor on a RedPill 78 broadcast recently. I would encourage people to look that up and listen (he was the guest in the 2nd hour). It will give people of faith a lift. We know in the end God wins. God Bless you and Denise and keep you safe.
