First, you’ll need to download the EPUB file to your device and locate it. In most cases, it will be found in the download folder (unless you have a different folder set as the default).
Once you’ve located the EPUB file, select it, then open the share menu and select “send to Kindle.”
On iPhone and iPad, you’ll need to toggle off “Save in Kindle Library” and then select your device before tapping “Send.”
A notification will confirm that the eBook has been successfully sent to your Kindle.
Option 2: Email
Kindle accounts have custom email addresses. You can transfer EPUB files to your device by sending them to your Kindle email address. Here’s how:
Visit amazon.com/myk in a web browser on your PC or smartphone. Go to the “Devices” tab and select the Kindle device you want to send the file to.
Clicking on the device icon will open a new dialog box. In the new window, Make note of your “@kindle.com” email address and write it down.
You’ll email the file to your Kindle device using this email address. But first, you need to make sure the email will be received. Kindle devices require pre-authorization to receive emails. Follow the steps below on your Kindle device:
- Go to Manage Your Content and Devices.
- From Preferences scroll down to Personal Document Settings.
- Under Approved Personal Document Email List, check to see if your email address is listed. If your email address is not listed, select Add a new approved e-mail address.
- Enter the desired email address and select Add Address.
Once you’ve done this, it’s time to send your EPUB file to your Kindle.
Compose a new email with the above @kindle.com address in the “to” field. Attach the epub file and send the email.

You should receive a new email from Amazon asking you to “Verify Request.” This is to confirm that you want to send the eBook to your Kindle.
After approving the transfer, the eBook will be sent to your Kindle eReader. You can force Kindle to check for new books by opening the home screen menu and tapping the “Sync” button.
It may take a few minutes for the book to appear in your Kindle Library.
